Kacy Miller, President and founder of CourtroomLogic Consulting, LLC, is a highly regarded jury and litigation strategy consultant.
She has collaborated with law firms, lawyers and companies operating in a variety of industries for more than 20 years, and has worked in the field of social sciences for more than three decades. Kacy has debriefed countless jurors and provided sophisticated pretrial and trial consulting services in high-stakes litigation involving Fortune 100 and 500 companies, mid-size organizations and entrepreneurial ventures.
Kacy began her career in litigation consulting in 1997, working with Dr. Phillip C. McGraw (“Dr. Phil”) in Dallas. She then spent several years as an in-house litigation consultant at one of Dallas’ largest law firms. By working just down the hall from top-tier litigators, she provided witness preparation, graphics consultations, jury selection and casual brainstorming sessions on a daily basis. In 2005, Kacy launched CourtroomLogic Consulting and has been going strong ever since.
With a fierce dedication to her clients, Kacy is known for her drive to achieve the best results possible. She does not shy away from complex issues, tight deadlines, or tough decisions, and she is confident when weighing in on critical issues. Her focus is on keeping the trial team moving toward the desired end result.
Because Kacy merges seamlessly with trial teams, she is often in a position to offer not only professional guidance on pretrial proceedings, trial strategy and juror perception, but she also provides real-time presentation tips and feedback that can make a notable difference in any given trial day. Clients describe her as one-of-a-kind: her work ethic and work product are superior and the value she adds throughout the life of a case is exceptional.
A frequent writer and speaker on issues related to juries, trial advocacy and communication, Kacy has published articles on subjects including the group dynamics of jury deliberations, preparing witnesses, protecting confidentiality in jury research, and managing budgets during litigation. Kacy has been a faculty member on multiple trial skill seminars and has donated hundreds of hours to attorney education.
Kacy has also appeared on local and national news programs to discuss jury-related matters related to high-profile jury trials involving Amber Guyger, Derek Chauvin, Jerry Sandusky, John Wiley Price, Eric Williams, and others.
After receiving bachelor’s degree in education from Baylor University, Kacy obtained an M.Ed. with a focus in counseling and psychology from the University of Houston. She is a member of the American Society of Trial Consultants and the American Bar Association.
